Talking Stock tire grooving

Im thinking of grooving my stock rear tires. Does anybody have suggestions,or pics,or ideas?

I attempted this with a set of flat irons for my crawler...I spent about 25 minetes, got 6 lugs cut off, and managed to cut a few holes. Im sure if your patient, and careful, it wouldnt be bad, and I know, at least with cut flat irons, its a night and day difference on traction. But, I must confess, I am a nOOb at short corse stuff, my rc experience is in crawlers.
